Our chef’s new menu contains numerous new dishes. He set out to offer traditional Hungarian dishes to be prepared on the spot by our cooks from first-class Hungarian ingredients, to our guests’ delight. You will find some special courses among them, which are much-liked in European cuisine as well. Besides the regular menu, you will always find a seasonal chef’s offer.
In addition to Cold goose-liver, Kohlrabi carpaccio and Pike-perch strips fried in spicy egg coating should be highlighted from our starters.
At our guests’ request we kept the Smoked cheese soup on the menu and renewed our meat soup. From now on, if you fancy a light, hot meat soup, try our Farmstead hen soup.
Our pasta dishes have always, without exception, been very popular courses. Many guests have recently taken to the Ewe-cheese noodles with roast duck-liver.
Among our fish dishes, Trout matured in French mustard, served in a bacon ring, has been a hit from day one.
Of our main courses, we recommend trying our Pork chops coated in ham, the genuine Wiener schnitzel with potato salad and sticks, or the Quick-fried goose-liver with celery purée.
If it is summer and the Jardinette, it must be salads! Take your pick from our five different salad plates. Salad Miss Jardinette contains endives, lamb’s lettuce, radicchio, cherry tomatoes, Parmesan ham and toasted seeds with pesto dressing. Sounds good, right?
At last, various cheeses and cheese plates are also found on our menu. Taste our Home-matured walnut, pepper and parsley flavoured cheeses or Goat’s milk cheese with pumpkin seed oil.
And what about desserts? We may safely say that Buda’s number one Giant shaky cottage-cheese dumplings are to be found in our restaurant. We serve them with strawberry marrow and sweetened sour cream. The Milk tart with apricot jam laced with apricot pálinka (Hungarian brandy) from Kecskemét is also bound to be a chart-topper. No need to mention the rest...
Come and visit us, and find out for yourself.
With best regards,
The Jardinette staff
